Supporting the food habit

We have some new items--a "sippy cup"* and a high chair. I purchased the cup at Toys 'R' Us this week, hoping to fill it with formula. According to the American Academy of Pediatriatrics, it's normal that he mostly uses it as a toy and either throws it or chews on it. Could take weeks, they say.

The high chair was a find at our favorite consignment shop, Lucy's, sitting there one day for us to just take home at a great price. Part of the day is spent with him sitting and playing in it--usually after breakfast or when I'm fixing dinner.

*I planned never to say "sippy cup", but now I'm like "have you seen the sippy cup?" As they say, having a baby changes everything!

Yes! It sure does change everything....for the rest of your life. Don't worry about him getting the hang of the sippy cup...he'll be using it before you know!

I learned a long time ago to NEVER say I'll never do something!!! It always comes back to get me!!!

Wait until he throws the "sippy cup" at you just playing or throws it on the floor!!!
