From start to finish, Matthew had a great first flight! Here are some highlights:
People at the security checkpoint were as nice as I've ever experienced! An agent came over and not only instructed me on what to do, but also helped me to do it. Matthew enjoyed conversations with the other 2 agents. At the gate, I was paged ahead of time and a gate-check tag was placed on the stroller.
We sat toward the back, thinking those are less desirable seats. It was true--the front was much more crowded. We had all 3 seats in our row. The lady behind us said Matthew was precious! :-)
Matthew watched the people file in. I turned on the breeze, and Matthew gave one hearty scream. Not a cry, but a scream.
There was a little discomfort during take-off, but Mom didn't feed him enough, so part of it was probably hunger, too. I gave him water through a syringe, but ended up having to nurse him. He fell asleep for the rest of the flight, including the landing. He only woke up when the flight attendant said "Welcome to Indianapolis."

can't wait to see you. the pic with the water and the syringe just about breaks my heart! give me a call, and we'll try to set something up for Monday, or whenever.
