Geek Squad
I dropped & broke the mouse. :-( I never have to worry, however, because Jim can fix anything related to the computer, if it's fixable! (It's amazing.) Here's Jim and his underling fixing the mouse.

Jim's Doing Very Well
Jim's pain seems to be doing very well. The only pain meds he's taking are ibuprofen, and that at night. He's been OFF his leg for the most part, but he's doing quite well. He has to make sure his R knee is supported, otherwise the weight of the heavy cast pulls down on it. Today he's working upstairs cause Matthew's birthday toys are noisy and Matthew's watching some TV and I'm cleaning.
Tomorrow (Thurs), he's scheduled for his follow-up appointment at 5:30.

All is Well
Jim's surgery went well. The doc didn't actually come out and talk to me! ?? But apparently he did well and I got him around 6:30. He's taking Percocet and having his first food since the surgery. Good night!

Dad's Broken Bone
Dad broke his fibula on Sunday night near the ankle. This is the smaller bone on the outside of the leg. What a beautiful story of computer dedication. He was transporting his laptop downstairs when his socked foot slipped on the the carpeted stairs. He sacrificed his fibula for the laptop, and now, he gets a cast at 5 p.m. today!
In this picture, he's sleeping on the Aerobed (okay, hiding) in our family room. He hasn't slept upstairs for 2 nights. I'll post another picture with the cast. And yes, that's the laptop. :-)

After Dinner With Dad
Matthew often watches a little TV with Dad after dinner. Here, he's watching Blues Clues, the one in which Steve meets Joe & teaches him how to play. Matthew sometimes puts his arm around our necks like this.

Dada's Piano
Dada's piano finally found its home, after about 4 years of being at someone else's house. Matthew is very excited about this, exclaiming "ssssong", when he wants Dada to play something. It was kind of exciting with Mom banging some of the notes, but once he learned how Dada can play, Mama is chopped liver. He'll even push me off the bench, point to the couch, and ask for Dada.

Ball...Dada!
Ball...Dada!...Dada...Ball! This is Matthew's newest phrase--ever since Dada took him to the park Saturday and they found a football and played catch. I think "catch" meant Dada threw the ball and Matthew chased after it and brought it back. Come to think of it, perhaps it was fetch. :-)
Anyhow, since that day, Matthew talks constantly about this experience. Ball...Dada! There's much excitement in his voice when he tells you the story. Here's a picture Dada took with his phone on Saturday.

Someone is 40
View a video of Jim. In this video, Jim is testing out the new Web cam. Ignore the clutter on our counter--it's Christmas morning & we're getting ready to leave for the day. Matthew has a supporting role, as you will see. He's curious as to what Dada is doing, but he gives up trying to figure it out & eats a Cheerio. (7 seconds. You'll need QuickTime to view this.)
SIGN the GUESTBOOK. Even if you don't know Jim, chances are, you'll turn 40, or already have. Feel free to congratulate, cajole, or commiserate. :) The more the merrier!
