This is wonderful news. Today's the day we're switching to underwear. Matthew is on board! It started 2 days before Christmas, when he declared that he DID NOT want diapers. I couldn't really do it, however, with all the upcoming busyness; I started but quickly stopped. Too many distractions. So, after the suggestion of a friend at church, today's the day and Matthew is ready, and we're in underwear. But wait--there's more! He went (#1) into the potty just now at 11:35 a.m. He's not wearing any pants, only his Thomas underwear. At first a trickle, then, a little stream, and his eyes were completely gleaming and he was giggling, and he wanted a hug. Then he wanted some candy.
So, it appears as though we're on the right track!

HURRAY!! It is indeed a wonderful day. There's nothing like getting out of those diapers to help him feel like a big boy. And, it's great for you too. Now, don't be surprised if there are a few accidents...they do happen:))

UPDATE (2:20p.m.): He's had 3 accidents since--two while playing Elmo, so we stopped that. But just now he went again, after telling me he had to go.
He'll get it soon enough! Hang in there. At least he's willing to give it a try now!

UPDATE (Tues PM): Today saw no successful attempts. :-(
mama said there'd be days like this! but don't get discouraged - he'll get it figured out! (i never have seen a grown man in diapers).
