The first diaper story (pictoral) was more pleasant than this one. Matthew has diahhrea! It first appeared the day we flew, and the poor kid was buck naked in the middle of Traverse City, MI. I quickly realized it was probably the worst diaper incident in Matthew's 8-month history, and shouted for help, although nobody could hear me over some F-16s in a nearby air show. It took four of us to change that diaper. Aunt Betsy held him while Mom cleaned him up, and Dad & Uncle Don ran repeatedly to the trash bin. Matthew cried his head off. Observers were laughing hysterically, as we were.
He's had it for about a week, although not as bad as described above. We're traveling, so perhaps the change in routine is a culprit. (But why didn't it happen in May?) Or, perhaps it was the move to Gerber solids while traveling, but I've since made his food and returned to normal eating. One other possibility, he appears to be teething. His lower gums are quite white and look like they're about to produce a few more teeth. Of course, water is very important, to avoid dehydration. He seems highly chipper, otherwise. Sorry, no pictures on this one--now or in the future. :-)
