Fun at the Library

Today Matthew & I went to the library--what a great resource that will be! Free & close by. We checked out a few videos (for both of us), then went to Story Pals--a program for 2-3 year olds. Matthew & several others heard some stories and did activities like songs, clapping, shaking, and finished up with a craft. It took about 40 minutes and the room was filled with moms (and 1 dad) and kids of all ages.

When we were finished, Matthew kept saying "walk crack" (or so I thought, since I recently explained a sidewalk crack). But as we went to the car, he urgently said "walk crack!" I figured out he was saying that he wanted to walk on the grass. So we enjoyed the rest of the morning walking around and sitting on the grass. He picked dandelions.

After his nap he insisted that I get him the puhpoo hose. Huh? I had no idea. He insisted it was in the car, but I looked and there was no such object. Coming back into the house, I realized he meant the video we checked out for him. Can't believe he remembered it so well.
