Self-Prescribed Time-Out

This is too funny. We were in the kitchen, and Matthew threw his tiny, bouncy green ball. I was very serious when I told him "Nooooo!" He decided a time-out was called for, and proceeded to the steps, declaring "No throw ball". When his time was finished, he said "No throw...roll," rolling the ball along the floor into the kitchen. Something worked somehow!

And, yes, that's the Thomas shirt--again.

See! He DOES understand the time-out rules! and you thought because he was smiling in that other chair that he didn't understand he was being disciplined! Just goes to show you who has the upper hand whether you knew it or not. That's too funny!

That's so funny! I guess he realizes what you mean after all.

You know, Ryan used to have favorite shirts like that. He would wear his forever and I'd insist on washing it! Of course, he was a teenager, not 2!!

Here's an update. Yesterday, the lady who watches the kids during our AM Bible study informed me that after she said "Matthew you need to stop that or I may have to give you a time out." Matthew went right over to the chair and sat quietly while the other kids played. Hee hee hee! Very cool!
