Matthew still seems on par, according to Gretchen, the nurse practitioner. I really like the staff at the Mt. Airy branch of our pediatrician. At 20 lbs., 7.5 oz, his weight is below 25%, but Gretchen said she wasn't worried at all, since childhood obesity is such a problem these days. His height was 30.25 inches, slightly above 50%. He didn't take well to the scale--at ALL. But I got to hold him right after. And even with FIVE shots, he still stopped crying in about 15 seconds after I got to pick him up. He's a trooper, I tell you. His shots included: chicken pox, measels/mumps/rubella, Hib, pneumococcal conjucate (?) which keeps menengitis away. He also had the recommended flu shot and has to have another flu booster on Dec 2.
As for development, she was glad he was pointing, pulling up to stand (she watched him), playing ball, and chatting. She sortof expected him to be imitating more (clapping or saying "bye bye"), but I haven't been working on him with that much. Guess I will!
She also recommended that he get fruit at every meal, since he isn't too crazy about vegetables. Pretty much, he gets fruit at every meal, anyway.
