Yes, we've moved! I've been a bit non-communicative while dealing with all the boxes. (Not to mention that it's one step above a construction site, as well.)
Anyhow, Matthew seems to be excited about all the changes. His room (picture to come) is laid out exactly like it was in the apartment, to help ease the transition. Some of the other changes:
2-story foyer with hardwood, which Matthew crawls through shouting "Eh! Eh! Eh!" We're pretty sure he gets a kick out of the echo. He also enjoys sliding his knees back & forth on the slippery surface.
Stairs. Oh my, what a difference, in many ways. Unfortunately, there's still an issue to be worked out with Frederick County. They forced the stair rail company to cover the railing with lattice on one side because of 2 areas that are more than 4 inches apart. That means no baby gate for the time being and complete vigilance by Mom & Dad. Not to mention a hideous appearance.
Space. Big difference between a 1 bedroom/den to a 4 bedroom house. Wow. He's going here and there and wearing Mom out in the day. Open floor plans call for different types of baby gates, which we have yet to get.
More kitchen cabinets, with more baby-proofing techniques! :)

Dear Matthew's mommy,
This is where you become very skinny because you are always in motion chasing after a baby in such a BIG house. Good luck getting anything else done while "the explorer" covers "new territory"!!
Love,
Aunt Sally
Wow you've got your hands full until you can corral Matthew!!! Evening down time will be wonderful
for you!!
love, Betsy
