We THINK Matthew might be starting to actually mean it when he says "Mama" & "Dada", but we aren't for sure yet. Yesterday, however, after lunch, Pepper the Cat kept crying (not an unusual thing), and strangely, he started making this longer, more continual sound, like "Meeeeerrrrrrr. Meeeeeerrrrrrrrrr." I turned to look at him, only to find out that it wasn't him, but Matthew! There's no doubt he meant it, since Pepper had been crying. So, I guess his first official word was "meow"! I guess considering the importance of Pepper the Cat in your life, Tracy, it's only appropriate that Matthew's first word be about Pepper the Cat! (At least in Pepper's mind!!)

Sounds like we have another animal lover in the family! I bet Matthew is still more impressed with Pepper than Pepper is Matthew!!!!!!!
