Nathan LOVES lights. You might expect to like lights that are ON, but really ANY light catches his fancy. We first noticed it with the pendants in the kitchen. Every time we put his swing in the area between the family room and kitchen (to join in our activities in the kitchen), he ends up fixed on the pendant lights.
But then I started noticing it with the recessed lighting, and table and floor lamps as well. On or off, it doesn't matter. He sees them and his eyes seem to glow in excitement.
This morning he was getting tired and cranky, so I started to take him upstairs when he saw it--the large pendant in our foyer. He was suddenly happy, smiling, and COOING to the light. I stood there watching for a while and got the camera, hoping the moment wouldn't be over. Sure his attention waned, but as soon as I had the camera and went back to the foyer, he resumed his conversation.
Here are a couple of pictures.

How cute! Love the pictures but poor Nathan's face! Looks like he's allergic to detergent or food!!! Shane and I both have problems like that. Shane's hands are a problem for him. When he was little it was his feet!! My allergy to caffeine causes me to have a rash like Nathan!!

I'll test that out to see. I stopped using dryer sheets but I could try to change his laundry soap. It's nowhere on his body, just on face, as that web site said is common w/ baby eczema.
At this point it's very easy to see what he's ingesting. He's only ingesting two things! :-)
Also, I used the hydrocortisone cream and it REALLY REALLY helped.
