Consider us lucky! It's taken nearly 4.5 years for Matthew to have an ear infection, at least that's what the doctor said.
Saturday night, Matthew woke up a few times crying terribly and pulling at his left ear. Even tho he's never had one, I knew the signs. So the next morning, we went to the urgent care facility and the doctor confirmed the suspicion and gave him a prescript. for Amoxicillin, plus instructions for Motrin if needed and Benedryl for only at night. She said his ear had a great big strawberry in it. It's probable that his lingering cold/cough caused it.
Even with the infection, he's in great spirits. He did a great job waiting for about 1.5 hours. He's been home for 3 days, except for some quick store trips to Wal-Mart and Safeway. Today, we're going back to school and I'm sure he'll be thrilled.

I'm sorry to hear that Matthew is sick! Shane used to have horrible ear infections when he was really little. They hurt so much. I have had my eardrums burst(both of them at different times) and it's not any fun. How's he loving all your snow!! I'd love to see pictures of him in the snow again.
Give him a big hug from Aunt Betsy!!!
