A big storm came through, and we've had a power outage that started on Saturday around 4:15 and continued through this morning. It hasn't been fun! Very cold and windy.We had already planned to have a sitter come, and she did and was very gracious with Matthew's big personality during the outage. The novelty amused him, however. We came home that night around 8:15 and went to bed thinking that it would come on some time that night. However, it never did, and when Jim called on Sunday morning, they said it would be 7 a.m. on Monday. Ugh!
Thankfully, it was Sunday and we were busy at church, and we went to the gym, Wal-Mart, McDonald's Park (restaurant, that is), and eventually Jim's mom's house to sleep.

Jim called and was told that it might be 4 p.m. today, but when we came home, the lights were on!! Hooray! It was warm, too, so the power had been on for a while. Last night when we gathered clothes, it was 57 degrees inside.

I remember the winter of 1988 when we had no power for a week after an ice storm, do you remember that one? You, Dad and Rose were living with us???

every time they said winter storm in the forecast this season, we hoped for all that you had (if you can believe that) but we only lost power once for about 2 hours. didn't any of your pipes freeze up?
