Here's a picture of Matthew enjoying himself tonight after dinner. He was a wild Indian. You would never had known that there was a poison scare today! I was doing something in the bathroom and he walked away with the Children's Tylenol, which had a childproof cap.Matthew's good, however, and he came back telling me how he drank the "red madasin" and I saw that the bottle only had about 1/4 of it left!!! I quickly freaked out, telling him that he was wrong to drink all the medicine, and he responded with dramatic tears. After calming myself, I called the Poison Control number, which was on the bottle.
I think he drank about half the 4 oz. bottle, and with his weight, the man on the line said it shouldn't be a problem. It had been like he had 12 teaspoons full. The man was very professional, asking me all kinds of questions, like could I check to see if some had spilled. Matthew also informed me that the madisin was in his tummy.
The Poison Control man had me give Matthew some water, and watch and call back if there were any more problems. He also said he's going to send me some "Yuk" stickers to help Matthew know what not to drink.

ALWAYS a VERY SCARY thing but it's good it all turned out okay. Little kids have no fear when it comes to enticing looking "madisin"! At least it wasn't real poison like household cleaners and such. I'm glad he's okay but yes, do the yuk stickers!
Aunt Sally
That is VERY scary!!! About the Yuk stickers...I had a blast putting them on EVERYTHING...including Shane I think! LOL! Or was it Shane that did that?? Anyway, I just remember the Yuk stickers everywhere long after we knew they were bad to ingest!
