First Snow of 2007-08

I guess the first snow of 2007 was on January 22, but the first snow of this season was today. The snow wasn't supposed to be here until this afternoon, but we woke up to snow, and as of 2:35 p.m., it's still snowing. Matthew saw it first thing and was very excited.

He had to go out before breakfast, so we put on all he has for the moment--layers. An undershirt, a long shirt, a sweatshirt, a jean jacket. He's been obstinate about getting a warm coat, but after today, he's agreed that he needs one! After he fell in the first video (below), he wanted to go in and get his "Ravens hat" and his mittens. His Ravens hat is really a Colts hat.
Just before we went in, he decided that he should make a snow angel, like he had seen on TV. He even called it that--a snow "anjoe".

First Video: Coming outside for first time and then falling.

Second Video: Discussing his footprints and other things.

Here are a few pictures, also.

I love the video of Matthew in the snow!! I think he needs a nice, warm Colts knit cap, gloves and some warm boots in addition to his new coat!!!

He sure knows how to pose for a picture doesn't he??? :)

Matthew is very cute! I was in Boston this week and managed to survive the snow (quite an accomplishment for this Texas boy). I wish Jonah would have a chance to see snow more often!

I just love the picture of the snow angel - he did a great job and it really does look like an angel. I'm glad he's agreed to a warm coat. If it's a new COLTS knit cap, could you please get it for him by sunday so he can wear it during the COLTS vs. ravens football game?!

Well, certainly everyone is welcome to also visit Maryland and even bring their children! :-) If you do, be sure to look out if wearing Colts attire.

In fact, yesterday we bought snow boots at Wal-Mart and they were royal blue and black.

I couldn't believe that Matthew knew what he was talking about with the snow angel. He was insistent and threw himself onto the ground and immediately starting flapping. Funny.

OMG -- how super cute is that photo of Matthew!!! Love it!

Meanwhile, my boys are in shorts AGAIN today. Rumor has it tomorrow we'll be in sweats. Ah, I love Texas weather!

Not fair, Stephanie!! I WISH we were in shorts! Cold and damp here. And gray. :-(
