Matthew & I got into it at Food Lion. He's really starting to exert his will (don't they call it terrible TWOs??!), and when he can't get what he wants, he sometimes throws a big tantrum. Today, in the vitamin aisle, Matthew wanted, well, everything he could see. When he couldn't
have everything, he decided to flail himself forward & backwards.
It must've sounded awful to the guy in the aisle, since he seemed to look judgingly at me, but believe me, controlling Matthew was the best thing for all. Out of our "fight" came this bloody scratch. Poor kid.
By the way, here's a picture from one year ago today.
His first bites of rice cereal.

Wait until you're out in public and you reach toward him and he ducks or pulls away! Just take a look at the people around you..thinking that you surely must beat him:))

Welcome to the world of parenting! Kids always act up out in public and someone will always give you a "look". Ignore them!!! He's just starting his pulling away and getting independent! That's okay-just make sure he knows who is boss!
