Two month doctor visit

At yesterday's doctor visit, he got weighed, measured, examined, then shot! Turns out that little Matthew is a TALL boy. His weight was 12 lbs 12.5 oz, height was 24.75" and head circumference was 40.5 cm. The weight and head are in the 50-75 percentile, but his height is in the 90th percentile! Wowee. No wonder he doesn't fit well in the 0-3 month clothes. You can see his growth chart.

Dr. Mullen said he's doing really well. He has a couple of lumps behind his ears, but she believes that they are lymph nodes a little larger because of his cradle cap.

Poor guy had 4 vaccinations: DTaP (Diptheria, Tetanus and Pertussis), Polio, Hib, and Pneumococcal Conjugate. He took it pretty well, with only a few minutes of crying, and then he fell asleep. He was drowsy throughout the day and only a little fussy.

Next appointment is on March 7 (the day his Grandpa Larr died).

Wow-he's grown that much in two months!!!??? He's going to be a tall boy! Give him a hug from me! I'm glad he wasn't too fussy for you after the shots. It hurts us more to have them get a shot than it does them, right?

Love, Aunt Betsy
